The Vessel Story

LASYLV begins with the idea of the vessel.

A vessel is built to carry. It must hold its shape, protect what matters, and move with purpose.

Read the story

In Carriacou, Scottish settlers introduced a boatbuilding tradition that generations of local shipwrights would carry forward. Wooden boats were shaped by hand for journeys between islands — built with patience, knowledge and respect for material.

In 1965, J. Linton Rigg helped give that vessel culture a new stage through the founding of the Carriacou Regatta: a celebration of boats, builders, skill and island pride.

LASYLV carries that spirit into leather.

Made in England.
Rooted in Carriacou.
Built slowly for modern journeys.

The Frequency Story

Every object enters a world beyond the hands that made it.

It travels through places, becomes part of lives and gathers moments around it. Somewhere in the background — or sometimes at the centre — music is playing.

Read the story

In Carriacou, music moves through memory, family and celebration. It is heard in the enduring tradition of the Big Drum Dance and in the countless sounds that give atmosphere to island life.

Different generations may hear different songs, but ‘The Frequency’ continues.

By Night is where LASYLV listens. One screen carries a changing selection of music discovered across years, countries and late hours — chosen for the feeling it leaves behind and the desire to hear it once more.
